Roses From Ashes
Where survivors rise and change the world.
Roses From Ashes exists to change how our society understands and responds to abuse.
Rooted in lived experience and built on a commitment to truth, safety, and justice, we equip survivors, leaders, and communities to pursue healing and systemic transformation.
Through survivor-led advocacy, education, and policy engagement, we work to strengthen communities, improve the way systems respond, and create safer pathways for those experiencing harm.
Where silence once protected abuse, we bring light and accountability.
Where systems have failed, we call for reform.
Where shame tried to take root, we speak restoration.
You were made for more.
And beauty does rise from the ashes.
“…to give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…”
Isaiah 61:3 (NKJV)

Rikki Shaw is a speaker and systems-response expert on gender-based violence, legal systems, and institutional accountability.
Drawing from both lived experience and professional expertise, she brings clarity to complex issues—helping audiences understand how institutions succeed, where they fail, and what must change to protect survivors.
Rikki’s work sits at the intersection of personal story, public policy, and faith. After navigating years of family court, legal proceedings, and systemic barriers, she began speaking publicly to expose the realities survivors face—particularly within custody disputes, law enforcement response, and institutional systems that often prioritize process over protection.
Her voice has contributed to public testimony, media conversations, and regional and national speaking engagements focused on improving systems response and strengthening survivor safety.
At the center of her work is a deep belief that healing is not only possible—but promised.
Through Christ, Rikki shares a message of restoration, courage, and truth:
that what was meant for harm can be transformed, and that beauty can rise from even the most broken places.
This foundation shapes not only her message to survivors—but the way she engages institutions, leaders, and communities seeking lasting change.
Rikki speaks on:
-
Gender-based violence and survivor safety
-
Family court and custody dynamics in abusive relationships
-
Law enforcement response and accountability gaps
-

Rikki serves as a Grants and Contracts Administrator at a large human services nonprofit and is actively involved in systems-level conversations around housing stability, domestic violence response, and community coordination.
She is also the founder of Roses From Ashes, a platform dedicated to truth, healing, and advocacy for survivors.
Whether speaking on stage, contributing to media, or creating content online, Rikki’s work is grounded in one core belief:
Through Christ, beauty can bloom on the other side of brokenness.
